How to choose Communications software
- List the jobs you need it to do and who will use it, then check which plan includes those features on each provider’s pricing page.
- Check it works with the tools you already use, and that you can export your data if you leave.
- Trial your top two with real work before committing.
Questions to ask in a demo
- Can we keep (port) our existing UK numbers, and how long does it take?
- What call allowances are included, and what do calls to UK mobiles and abroad cost?
- Does it integrate with Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace calendars and contacts on our plan?
- Are emergency (999) calls supported and how is location handled?
- Is there a minimum number of users or an annual commitment?
